Wellbeing Workshops
Engaging workshops which
change behaviours
I personally thought that this was one of the best training session I have been on. I now understand how to be more resilient. It was interesting, well-delivered, and informative and thought provoking. In the present climate it was particularly well-timed. The session was particularly well-received because it was short but effective “
Our wellbeing workshops can be delivered in sessions applicable to your groups and needs. Typical sessions last between 30 minutes and half a day. Content can be tailored to suite management or employees.
Personal Resilience – Resilience is the ability of an individual to maintain and enhance effectiveness in the midst of a fast-paced, high-pressured and continuously changing environment. Resilience training concentrates on mental health, energy, physical health and work/life balance.
A typical session covers:

- Attributes of a resilient person
- A look at the components of resilience – mental health, energy, physical health and work/life balance
- How to build resilience
- Personal action plans
Stress management – This workshop helps individuals to understand, recognise and deal with stress. It is a behavioural session and engages individuals to take time out to think about themselves.
- Definition of pressure and stress
- Pressure and performance
- Signs and symptoms of stress
- Effects of stress on health and wellbeing
- Identifying values – interactive exercise
- Managing stress – reducing pressure, coping better
- Personal action plans – interactive exercise
- Support from the organisation
Work life balance – This workshop covers one of our most popular topics. It allows people to identify how well they are balanced and helps them to take positive steps in improving areas of low satisfaction.
- Definition of work life balance
- The changing world of work and life and its effect on balance
- Balancing energy and time
- Identifying values and balancing the wheel – interactive exercises
- Tips and techniques for better WLB
- Support from the organisation
Driver fatigue – Our fatigue management training is designed to reduce accidents at work due to tiredness. The training has been adopted by both BP and Shell as the preferred training for all staff who drive as part of their job and is now being rolled out globally by both companies. In December 2003 Awake, our training partner was awarded a Prince Michael of Kent International Road Safety Award in recognition of the Awake Driver Tiredness training programme. Our training is successful because it is based on the scientific excellence of the Sleep Research Centre at Loughborough University, and is delivered in an accessible, entertaining, non-scientific way, by experts who understand their subject and how to communicate effectively at all levels.
Additional topics include
- Sleep
- Wellbeing and health
- Healthy eating and nutrition
- Getting active
- Weight management
- Heart health
- Cancer prevention

“We delivered a 2 hour session to all lecturers and employees on work life balance. The session went down really well and what we felt would be a hard audience to please really enjoyed the session. The balance wheel and interactive group work also told us more about the needs of our employees. Well recommended – we will be running the smoking cessation sessions next.”
